THLP is a remarkable project that takes an authentic approach. It was led by Michelle and Daniel De Bono, who undertook a Living Building Challenge in Wanaka, New Zealand. The Living Building Challenge is a global design framework that aims to create sustainable spaces and give back more than they take.

In our design approach, we aimed to reduce negative impacts by incorporating sustainable practices, such as minimizing energy and resource usage and using recycled materials. The decision to work with a varied colour palette resulted from using recycled materials in our studio, creating diverse aesthetic worlds that generate multiple design tones. This is advantageous as the project targets a wide range of audiences. 

We didn't get rid of the excess! Instead, we developed a bespoke icon set made from cut paper, recycling and reusing the excess paper as part of the brand imagery. 

The outcome is fresh, playful, simple, and trendy, breaking the stereotype of eco-friendly brands.
